Good morning and happy Wednesday, November 9th. In honor of hump day and the Digital Underground, we're sending you good vibes via The Humpty Dance.

In hockey news: Vegas and New Jersey continued their winning ways last night. Plus, a scary episode in Tampa saw Evander Kane rushed to the hospital, and more below 🍻

Are the Vegas Golden Knights the real deal?

Last night the Vegas Golden Knights extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to their 4-3 overtime victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Reilly Smith had himself a night, tying the game off a nice give-and-go with William Karlsson a little over halfway through the third period, before roofing a sweet backhand just 23 seconds into overtime to seal the win.

Coming off an unusual offseason where the franchise shed cap space to make room for Jack Eichel — see you later Max Pacioretty — and announced their starting goaltender Robin Lehner would miss the entire season due to hip surgery this August, analysts' expectations weren't high.

But thanks to Jack Eichel living up to his superstar pedigree and goaltenders Logan Thompson and Adin Hill taking advantage of their opportunities, this team is finding ways to win night after night.

"We're resilient for sure, we're learning how to win hockey games when we're not at our best and tonight is a good example of that. Tonight was one of those ones where someone was going to have to make a play to pick us up, and it happened to be Karlsson and Reilly."

Bruce Cassidy, Golden Knights head coach

The Vegas Golden Knights stand at 12-2-0, good for first place in the entire NHL headed into their game against the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow night. Do you think they extend their winning streak to 9 games?

CAN'T MISS

🩸 Evander Kane had his wrist skated over by Pat Maroon last night. It was a scary scene as the Oilers' forward immediately skated off the ice and was rushed to the hospital where he'll undergo wrist surgery. Fortunately, multiple reports state he is in stable condition.

🔥 The New Jersey Devils win their 7th straight, beating the Flames 3-2 last night. Nico Hischier scored off a rush with 8:10 to play for the game-winner, helping the Devils improve to 10-3-0 on the season, good for first place in the Metropolitan Division and second in the entire Eastern Conference, only trailing the Boston Bruins.
