Sabres forward goes off tying Gretzky & Clarke's Halloween record plus top 5 NHL Halloween costumes π»

Not wanting to distract from trick or treating the NHL had a light schedule last night but that didn't stop Tage Thompson from having himself a night to remember, or our team from recapping some of the best NHL'ers Halloween costumes.
And if you haven't listened to the Chiclets interview with Marian Hossa, do yourself a favor.
Dress like Wayne, play like Wayne?
Rumor has it Tage Thompson showed up to last night's game against the Red Wings dressed as none other than #99, Wayne Gretzky.
Given the 7" difference in height, we can't imagine his costume was a particularly accurate depiction of the Great One but his on-ice performance was spot on in the Sabres 8-3 victory.

"He's a guy who can sort of take over a game and dominate. He did that [tonight]."
Thompson had a "slow" first period, registering 1 goal, before exploding in the second with a goal and 3 assists, before adding an assist on yet another Dahlin goal and capping off his hat trick in the third.
Thompson is the first Sabre since Pat LaFontaine in 1993 to record 6 points but fell 1 shy of tying the franchise record of 7 points, set by Gilbert Perreault in 1976.
It's still early but he's living up to that new contract! π°π°
