Despite the boos, Jack Eichel scores a hat trick in Buffalo
P.K. Subban announces a new hockey career, Charlie McAvoy makes presence felt in season debut, and more.

Good morning and happy Friday, November 11th, and Happy Veterans Day to our American fam, and Remembrance Day to our Canadian brethren. Have a great weekend! 🍻

Despite the boos, Jack Eichel scores a hat trick in Buffalo
It was clear from the start that Jack Eichel was not going to be welcomed back by the Buffalo Sabres fans with open arms, as he was booed mercilessly each and every time he stepped on the ice.
And the Buffalo Sabres faithful loved when he was denied on a breakaway halfway through the first period, and again just four minutes into the second.
"Yeah, I mean the crowd was enjoying them,” Eichel said with a laugh. “But, hey, give (Comrie) credit, he made a couple of really nice saves and just got to work on my breakaways I guess.”
But in the end, it was Eichel who had the last laugh, scoring a natural hat trick in the third period en route to a 7-4 Golden Knights win.
Eichel is off to one the best starts of his career, registering 9 goals and 19 points through his first 15 games.
And better yet, the Vegas Golden Knights are off to an incredible start, extending their winning streak to nine games, and sitting atop the NHL standings.
TRIVIA: Who is the Buffalo Sabres' all-time leader in points?
CAN'T MISS
🎙Recently retired P.K. Subban is joining ESPN. The polarizing defenseman will certainly bring a lot of personality and insight to ESPN as he's signed a multi-year deal as a broadcaster and analyst. Love or hate him, it's great to see the networks with the NHL's TV rights invest in their on-air personalities.
🚨 Charlie McAvoy is back! The Bruins' defenseman missed the first 13 games of the season recovering from offseason shoulder surgery before returning to the lineup last night. And his debut did not disappoint as Charlie sniped the top corner late in the second period for the game-winning goal.
