The undrafted netminder was unbeatable to record his 2nd shutout of the season and 6th of his NHL career to snap the Islanders 6-game win streak. Adrian Kempe sniped his 20th of the year 7:14 into the 2nd period; this is the 3rd straight season Kempe has scored at least 20 goals. Phillip Danault tipped-in his 15th of the year 6:07 into the 3rd and Trevor Moore buried his 25th into the empty net to secure the 3-0 win. 🛩️ Connor Hellebuyck makes 23 saves, Jets shutout Capitals 3-0. The 30-year-old netminder was flawless, recording the 4th shutout of this season and 36th of his career as the Jets register their 11th win in their past 15 games. Neal Pionk opened scoring midway through the 1st for his 5th tuck of the season and 1st game-winner. Alex Iafallo tipped-in his 9th of the year 8:16 into the 2nd and Kyle Connor finished a saucey Mark Scheifele feed at the 10 minute mark of the 3rd period for his team-leading 27th bury of the season. The Jets are two points back from Dallas for 1st place in the Central Division, and two points ahead of the Avalanche in 3rd. Read more →

🎵 Kasperi Kapanen scores and adds two assists, Blues upend Bruins 5-1. The Finnish native took advantage of a fortuitous bounce midway through the 1st period to open scoring, burying his 5th of the season to the blocker side, before assisting on Kevin Hayes’ and Brandon Saad’s 2nd period goals to complete the 3-point effort, tying a career high. Robert Thomas scored his 21st goal of the year late in the 1st period on the power play. Alexey Toropchenko added an empty-netter midway through the 3rd period. Hayes and Saad both added assists and Joel Hofer made 36 saves as the Blues snap a 3-game losing streak. Read more →
