🎩 Filip Forsberg scores hat trick, Predators roll Sabres 4-2. The former 11th overall pick opened scoring with a power play snipe, quickly catching and releasing a Roman Josi pass to the back of the net 3:53 into the 1st, before finishing a sick Gustav Nyquist feed on the backhand (game-winner) early in the 3rd and completing his 9th career hat trick with a wrap around 6:43 into the 3rd period for his 33rd goal of the season. The 30-year-old netminder stopped everything the Pens could muster last night, recording his 4th shutout of the season and 6th of his NHL career. Tom Wilson opened scoring hours after his grandfather passed away, batting a puck out of midair for his 14th of the season, a shorthanded goal just 1:51 into regulation which proved to be the game-winner. Alex Ovechkin scored his 840th career goal and added an assist on Hendrix Lapierre’s 2nd period tally to pass Paul Coffey on the NHL’s all-time scoring list.
